General Contracting

SAI operates as a leading general contracting company, assuming the role of the prime contractor in direct collaboration with the owner. We take full responsibility for implementing effective contract administration, ensuring the appropriate means and methods for project execution. While we do subcontract certain specialized phases of the construction process, such as electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and roofing, the majority of the project is expertly handled by our own skilled team.

SAI specializes in interior build outs, renovations, insulation, fireproofing, paint applications, lead-based paint removal, and hazardous materials disposal. With over 37 years of experience, our knowledgeable professionals consistently deliver exceptional results to our clients. We stay updated with the latest industry advancements and technologies to ensure excellent outcomes. Our company serves federal, state, and local agencies, as well as commercial, industrial, institutional, educational, religious, and residential construction projects. We offer comprehensive general contracting and management assistance. SAI caters to clients interested in project development and revitalization in the New York and New Jersey area.

We have grown from the ground up and currently have 15 employees, including our principals Babu Sanji and Alexandar Lukovic. Our staff is diverse, consisting of experienced business and project managers, OSHA certified safety managers, carpenters, painters, ceiling installers, window and door installers, insulators, fireproof material installers, cabinet makers, furniture makers, and laborers.

Continuing education is important to us, and we encourage our employees to attend technical conferences and be members of national and local chapters such as the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), New Jersey Business Industry Association (NJBIA), and Better Business Bureau (BBB).

With our combined 37 years of experience in the construction industry and degrees in civil & mechanical engineering and environmental science, our principals, Babu and Alexandar, work closely with clients and architects to optimize construction plans and achieve project value within budget.

Each project we undertake is overseen by a dedicated Project/Safety Manager and a Lead Supervisor/Foreman. Our diverse staff allows us to optimize the skills needed for each project, ensuring quality and closely monitoring subcontractors.

We are equipped to handle projects of all sizes and have developed cost-effective solutions and techniques through our diversified client base. Our innovative planning and scheduling have resulted in cost reductions of 5 to 20% for our clients.

For complex projects, we can act as overall general managers, coordinating all activities associated with the construction project. We provide design and evaluation services, including detailed procedures and schedules, to eliminate guesswork.

Additionally, SAI is certified as a minority business enterprise (MBE), small business enterprise (SBE), and disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) in New Jersey & New York, offering added options for clients with specific qualification requirements.
